State-of-the-art Health Care
DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale is the first planned all-digital hospital in Georgia. That means we make full use of the latest computerized technology to improve your care and protect your safety as a patient. How? By using electronic medical records, physicians can access patient information better and faster, resulting in less duplication of tests and paperwork.
Picture Archival and Communication System allows physicians to view diagnostic images and reports by computer from any facility within the DeKalb Medical Center hospital system or even from the office or home. Computerized physician order entry (CPOE) decreases medical errors due to illegible handwriting and generates alerts when orders are in conflict with a patient’s medical history, improves test turnaround times and eliminates duplicate tests.
Physician Web portal allows physicians and staff to securely and remotely access clinical and demographical data via the Internet. Computerized clinical documentation improves physician and nursing access to patient care information and timeliness of data. Online appointment scheduling saves patients time and paperwork.
From the diagnostic technology and cardiac monitoring equipment to the heating and air conditioning system everything is digitized. And, instant, reliable, life-saving information translates into a seamless hospital stay or doctor visit and, more importantly, better quality of care.
