Two Questions:

To Dr. Quinones: What do you consider most important in taking care of cancer patients?

“I always start out by finding out what my patients need. I know they want to be cured of their disease and they want to be able to get through the process in a way that enhances their quality of life without causing them great difficulties. I will always provide the highest level of medical care. I stay up to date on all the latest techniques and technologies available to provide my patient with the best care anywhere. But I want to make sure they understand that I listen carefully to their fears and hopes and I try to meet those needs in the best way possible. In fact, I have trained my staff to pay attention to what our patients are experiencing so all of us can make certain that our patients have the best outcomes possible.”

To Roger Cordes: What did you find most important in the way you were cared for by Dr. Quinones?

“Dr. Quinones is one of the best doctors in the country. He operated on me seven years ago for pancreatic cancer. I have had several friends with this disease who were treated elsewhere and they are no longer here. Dr. Q. had a positive attitude and he was so helpful with my wife and son. He could not get the probe into the pancreas so he decided he had to go in and operate. Throughout the whole process, he was attentive, extremely caring and was just an outstanding surgeon. I trusted him and that is why I am still here. I had three different procedures with him holding the knife, and each one was a positive experience. Since my surgery I have had many CT scans and they have all been clear. He saved my life.”
