The Women’s Center – DeKalb Medical at North Decatur
 In many ways, The Women’s Center at DeKalb Medical is representative of the renaissance that Decatur has undergone in the past several years. Catering to the tastes of a sophisticated, dynamic community, the facility was designed as a warm Craftsman style building, with stone work, fireplaces and warm lighting. Its interiors resemble a high-end hotel or spa and create a soothing atmosphere.

There are 18 private Labor-Delivery-Recovery (LDR) suites for the birth, and 62 private, postpartum Mother-Baby rooms with high speed Internet access, refrigerators, private bathrooms, and window seat couches roomy enough for guests to sleep over. Waiting areas are located between each patient room to give families a private place just outside the mother’s room.

The Women’s Center features Five Star amenities including the Azalea Bistro, a business center, a 100 seat auditorium, a Mother & Baby Boutique and Lactation Center, and underground parking with an underground elevator which takes patients directly to the admissions department.

DeKalb Medical at Hillandale Campus
At the Hillandale campus in Lithonia expectant mothers find large, comfortable rooms equipped with the latest technology. There are five rooms for expectant women who require hospitalization before delivery, six obstetrical assessment rooms, eight Labor/Delivery/Recovery rooms and our 10-bed Special Care Nursery.

After delivery, mothers and their babies rest and get to know each other on the uniquely designed Mother/Baby Unit, including 25 Mother/Baby rooms. The reception area features a large window to the well baby nursery so that visitors may view babies when they aren't in the room with mom. A special lactation room and experienced educational consultants are available to support breastfeeding mothers while they are in the hospital.

Our staff of obstetricians, gynecologists, perinatologists, pediatricians, neonatologists, anesthesiologists and certified registered nurses along with our state-of-the-art facilities makes us a premier provider of maternity services. All of this so you will have an exceptional birth experience.
