Hosted by the DeKalb Medical Foundation, funds raised from the 16th Annual Charles B. Eberhart Memorial Golf Classic will expand the capacity of Breast Ultrasound at DeKalb Medical, a key component to diagnosing or ruling out Breast Cancer. Early and accurate diagnosis of breast cancer is still the biggest key to beating breast cancer. Breast Ultrasound is a non-invasive procedure used in conjunction with mammography to assist in determining the cystic versus solid nature of breast masses either found during physical examination or diagnosed on the mammogram. This additional breast ultrasound will further reduce delays in getting these needed studies done and speed the peace of mind that comes with knowing.
